1973 K5. Registered as a Chevy, marked as a GMC. Started this build in 1999. Rebuilt it 3 times with 3 different tubs trying to get a truly rust free truck. Ended up with a 1978 tub and still replaced the front floors and bed sides. Final build was started in 2011 and finished just in time for KOH 2013. Truck has been a labor of love for a long time, but health and changing interests have made it time for it to go to a new home.

Body: Registered as a 1973 with a clear, clean title. 1978 tub with new floors and bed sides. Front clip and doors from a 1985 K30. Custom interior with nice upholstered dash, seats. Autometer gauges, Brand new Vintage Air HVAC system. Stereo with Sirius, Subwoofer. Cobra CB and Kenwood Race Radio. Lowrance GPS. Original 80s vintage half cab conversion with new slider window. Cross bed tool box and bed cover. Full size spare in bed. Viair on-board air system with chuck up on front bumper. Blazen OFF Road front winch bumper with 10,000 lb Milemarker winch. Rear bumper custom made around a stock receiver hitch. LED lighting front and rear as well as rock light under and at all 4 wheel wells. Nice Sun roof. Louvers added to hood for additional cooling. Led Headlights and tail lights.Tuffy locking console. Single hoop roll bar inside the cab.
Drivetrain: Gen 6 454 GM big Block, Edelbrock Performer cam and lifters, Performer RPM manifold, MSD distributor, FLTech fuel injection, external pump, new 31 gallon fuel tank with Holly Hydra mat. Braided fuel lines. New 34” aluminum radiator. Oil and trans coolers. Bowtie Overdrives Stage 2 700R4 with upgraded servos, deep pan, 2000 stall converter. Atlas 4.3 transfer case with custom cross member and skid plate. Transfer case E-brake. 1350 CV drive shafts. 14 bolt rear with 456 gears and Detroit locker, disc brakes with Wilwood calipers. Front Dana 60 with a Detroit Electrac Locker. Have a spare as well.
Suspension: Front is custom linked with all Johnny joints and 16 “ new style FOA coilover resivoir shocks. 4” FOA bumps, Poly limit straps. PSC hydro assist box and ram. Hydro assist brakes as well.
Rear is 63” stock GM leafs trussed diff with pinion guard. Shock hoops through bed with 16” FOA resivoir shocks, new also. Very close to be 4 linked easily. ORD Shackle flip and shackles.
Tires are brand new Cooper 37/12.50 x 17 on 17x 10 Racelines.
Truck is a blast to drive and needs nothing but a new home. Have a build book with nearly every instruction book and receipt for its entire build life. A couple of fresh copies of Fourwheeler when it made the cover and the article on it from Off Road Extreme. Have about $50,000 in it and 1,000s of man hours. Thanks for looking.
