1954 early 1955 GMC pickup truck 1/2 ton short bed

Description

1954 early 1955 first series GMC pickup truck. This is the first model year with the one piece windshield. It also is the first year for a standard driveline, replacing the torque tube used on previous models. It came from the factory with a hydramatic auto transmission, although it is missing as well as the engine. It is a standard cab, 1/2 ton short bed.
This a very solid pickup, there is some rust on drivers side floor board, and as usual, needs cab corners. The bed wood and strips are shot, and there are dings and small dents around the truck. The glass has been violated by someone and needs replaced. This is a project, but it is an excellent starting point with little rust issues. Dry west coast truck it’s whole life.
