1972 GMC Pickup C1500 250 Inline 6 - Relisted due to buyer shipping cost issues
Description
Relisted due to buyer backing out due to issues shipping the vehicle across the country. Please do not bid on this truck unless you are a local customer or are aware of the cost of shipping a vehicle across the country, and are prepared to have the vehicle shipped within 7 days of the auction close.
1972 GMC pickup truck, equipped with power steering and power front disc, rear drum brakes. Solid frame, axle, suspension, truck bed, and body. Minor rust on floor of cab near door and A-pillar holes for factory GM spotlights. Both spotlights function and large rear view mirrors are currently off the truck but included. Tailgate, doors and windows operate fine. Engine (250 inline 6, Weber 36/32 carb) burns oil, has exhaust leak at manifold/down-pipe (gasket), and transmission has a slow ATF leak. Windshield washer fluid pump does not work, wipers do function.
Over the past 6 years, the following parts have been replaced: alternator, starter, master cylinder, front discs and pads, rear shoes and hardware, u-joints, upper and lower front ball joints, driveshaft center-bearing, transmission mount, cab mounts, dash pad, seat cover, upgraded halogen headlight bulbs, heater core (twice), aluminum radiator, and electric engine fan. Stereo deck has cassette and AUX jack with two added door speakers. Truck sits on lowering springs, -2" front and -3" in rear. Missing 1 front trim piece and 1 trim piece along bed. The hood is in brownish primer, the rest of the truck is original paint.
This truck is being sold "as-is" with no warranty, written or implied. This truck would be a great starting point for a restoration/modification project. I do not know any vehicle history prior to 2010, although it obviously has not been exposed to road salt. Truck was built in Fremont, California. Mileage is unknown, since it only has 5 place values on the odometer. Some of the photos are older, but most of the photos are current. Please contact me through the auction listing with additional questions.
$300 non-refundable deposit via PayPal due within 48 hours of auction close. Payment (cashiers check or cash) due within 1 week of auction close. Vehicle must be picked up by winning bidder within 1 week of auction close.
