Description

Firstly, this is a hard to find vehicle and I know what it's worth, so please no low ball offers. If you are looking for an older Civic to gut and modify, this is not the car for you.
This is the base model 1986 Honda Civic 4-speed 1.3 Liter that is 98% original with a few minor additions.
The additions are:
1 - Passenger side mirror (base model does not come with one)
2 - Keyless entry with 2 fobs/remotes
3 - Light under the hood
4 - High-end after-market stereo with bluetooth. Also has an amplifier and subwoofer that can be removed if you do not want them.
5 - Cruise control (yes, cruise control on a standard!)
I can remove the rear window decal if you don't want it
One thing that makes this car a bit unusual is that it has A/C that was a factory option. Base models are hard to find and very rarely have A/C. This A/C works great and blows cold.
One advantage of the base model is that it got much better gas mileage than the other models. I usually get 30 city & 37 hwy (with A/C on), 42 hwy (without A/C on).
The bad:
Some very small rust spots (see photos)
#1 Rear passenger side wheel well
#2 driver's side door jamb by the running board
#3 hood
Seat upholstery has become separated at the seams in some areas. The material is in good condition, however. No rips or tears.
Two small cracks on the dash by the defroster vents - each is about one inch long.
Some small nicks in the headliner
Some small scratches and small dents that come with a 30-year-old car
That's it! - it's all cosmetic
The good:
Mechanically it is in great shape. The original owner was the stereotypical old lady that rarely drove it and took great care of it. Her records show that she changed the oil every 3 months, but since she didn't drive it much, it was about every 1500 miles. She owned it for about 12 years and the second owner had it for about 15 years as a second car that he only drove part of the year. I am the third owner and have had it for 3 years and have only put 9,000 miles on it in that time.
Once I bought it I had a few things replaced:
Front struts
Rear window struts
Fuel filter
Oil pan
Distributor
Thermostat
Radiator
This is the second 1986 Civic that I have owned and I loved them both! This is a second car for me so it's not necessary that I keep it, but I need the money.
I have 2 extra 13" wheels for this car that I will be giving to the buyer.
If you have any questions or need any other photos please let me know.
