1983 Honda Accord Mint Condition Low Miles ALL Original
Description
Thanks for looking.
This is a real head turner. A pristine 1983 Honda Accord with just under 64,000 miles on her. I am the third owner buying her from my neighbor 2 years ago. He inherited it from his grandmother. I know that's the oldest line in the book but he really did. He got it 6 years ago when it had 45,000. She drove to church and to the stores but never left Portland (no salt on the roads) and always kept it garaged.
The interior is close to new with a little sun fading on the headrests of the back seats. You won't find a crack or scratches on the dash or instrument panel. The carpets have always had mats and the carpet has no major stains or burns. Only the driver seat has a couple minor rips by the headrest (see pic) the rest are perfect. The headliner is perfectly clean and shows no sign of sagging anywhere.
Everything works. Lights, gauges, cruise control, and the A/C blows cold. The carpet and floorboard in the trunk are clean enough to eat on. All the windows roll up smoothly and the glass is perfect all the way around. The radio and speakers are the only non-original parts but speakers are covered with the original Honda covers.
The paint is original and beautiful as you can see in the pictures. The engine runs strong and smooth as you would expect at 64,000 miles. I get compliments every time we go out.
This would be a great addition to your collection or an everyday driver. It is a time capsule for me as I my first car was a 79 Accord that shared many of the same stylings. I hope it goes to a great home.
I was trying to find some original pictures from Honda ads and came across the link in the picture above.Someone thought enough of her to take multiple images and add a page to their website, OldCarsParked.com Ebay won't let me paste a link but you can copy from that.
Named one of the Car & Driver's top 10 in 1983
It does have a couple cosmetic flaws. The front bumper cover is extended out a little (see pic)The right side rear door has a small linear ding that didn't crack the paint and could probably be pulled quite easily. (see pic)When I was detailing it one of the tabs on the rear defroster came undone. It will need to be soldered back on.Other than I can't think of any thing that's not immaculate. Even the pin striping is in great shape.
Let me know if I can answer any questions or add pictures.
