Description

Still a great little car I just haven't hardly used it in years due to needing to drive a pick-up. I loved the sporty feel of the car, engine and manual transmission, the wide open views when driving, the gas mileage (I'd get up to 40+), and all around low cost to drive.
I put most all the miles on prior to 2001. The engine and 5 speed tranny are original and still seem very solid to me with never a major problem. This was the first car I purchased new and always kept it up really nice until I had to start driving a pick-up for working. Now, it's rough in a few spots and I posted pics. There's the rust by the gas fill-up and the wheel-well, the spot my puppy chewed the seat, and the driver's side front corner is bad from a buck running into it. I purchased a replacement fender but then an employee I let use it didn't use the parking brake and the car rolled into a fence post while they were off working. Can't think the damage is too deep since it wasn't like car accidents -- the buck ran off and the fence post didn't break. At least both were the same front corner! I gave up fixing it since it was mostly just parked. I often used it here and there to run errands so the car is not stale but, just recently I needed it's plates for another vehicle so now it's not being driven anymore, just being moved from parking spot to parking spot.
There are two other bugs with the car. Sometimes it won't start. It turns over great but won't start. If you take the key out, put it back in and try again sometimes it will start or, walk away and come back later, it will start -- like perfect, like it never had an issue. It seems like a fuel issue ??? because it just doesn't "fire" but it could be a sensor or ??? Second, when I take off for town (I live on a highway so it's out the driveway at 50 mph), in the exact same spot, every trip a few miles down the road, it runs "rough" for a mile or so, then smooths out, the check engine light comes on and then it runs like a champ. It has done this for years, exactly the same. The closest Honda dealer for me is about 5 hours away so I've never taken it in.
I listed this months ago and it "sold" to someone without any money I guess because I couldn't contact them after the auction, so, I am listing it again! Don't place a bid unless you have the cash. If you have few transactions, contact me first or your bid will be cancelled. I won't respond to questions like "What's the least you will take?" or "What's the reserve?" etc. This is an auction and I'd like it to sell. I think it is still a great little car that's fun to drive! Ask questions or if you want specific pics, just ask and I'll try to post them.
Pup in picture not part of deal. Full-size spare and real service manual come with car. Car sold as-is, where-is. And to answer the #1 question I was asked during the first auction, No, I would not be afraid to take off and drive it anywhere where-ever (I'd actually love the trip/vacation) but, sorry I can't deliver it, I just don't have the time. I will however provide good access for your shipping company if you want to arrange your own shipment.
