Description

Last year of the fuel-injected Gen 3 Honda Accords. I bought this car a few months ago and fixed the following problems: stuck PCV valve that was causing an oil leak around a poorly installed oil pan gasket. I bought a new oil pan, but did not need it because the OEM pan was fine --there was just loads of RTV installed all the way around the lip of the oil pan (exactly what the shop manual tells you not to do). Also, fixed a major squeal from the alternator belt because the alternator adjusting screw was missing. I replaced the missing screw and torqued the alternator pivot bolt to shop specs - no more squeal. I also adjusted the power steering and AC belts to specs. The car has a 40 watt aftermarket radio/CD that a bright former owner used to blow out the 30 watt stock speakers. I stole some small box-like speakers from my wife and installed them surreptitiously -- they sound great but it really needs two 6x9s and two 5 1/4s installed. This car gets good gas mileage (25+ mpg). The car recently had the timing belt done and a new AC compressor installed. The paint, bodywork and interior are original and immaculate (for a 30-year old car). All the electrics work fine except for the auto antenna (permanently extended). You will not find another car like this in the USA -- I know -- I have been looking. My only issue with this car is that it is too hard for an older, tall (and heavyish) guy like me to get in and out of. The sale includes Haynes and Chilton repair manuals. I am in the westernmost NC mountains (4 miles east of Robbinsville) if you want to look at this car in person.
