Description

Hi guys. The Motorama Auto Museum is changing the military vehicle display. We are offering an all original low mileage 1989 M998 pickup. The truck was purchased directly 11from the US gov two years ago. It is an excellent example that has been serviced and is completely road worthy. The body shows no signs of crash or corrosion repairs. It is very clean underneath. The only rust is surface on bolt heads and suspension parts where the paint is chipped. Mechanically this unit is top notch. The engine starts instantly with no smoke or blow by. It idles smooth and has lots of power. The transmission (4 spd automatic) and transfer case shift flawlessly with no noises. The truck steers and stops dead straight. No problems with the drive shafts and axle shafts. No leakage from engine, trany, transfer, or diffs. Lights, wipers, heater, horn, ect function. The doors and top are in good condition with no rips. Cargo cover and bow set is included. Cover is desert tan. Troop seats are in good condition, solid wood, but worn paint. Tires are in good condition with about 3/4 tread. The truck has just had an oil change. The other fluids were checked. This thing is a blast to drive. It goes down the highway straight an smooth, and is unbelievable off road. We have proper road legal title in the company's name. There are no export restrictions on this unit. In short this is one of the best original condition low mileage turn key M998 you will ever see. The truck can remain in the museum until transport, but we expect to be paid shortly after the auction ends. This unit is now surplus to the museum and will be sold. We have set a low reserve so just in case something weird happens we are not committed to sell it for five hundred bucks. Ebay robot thinks the truck is a 1980 because of the vin not having 13 digits. Feel free to contact with any questions, or stop by and drive it around.
