You are looking at a very rare HMMWV Avenger fire truck unit that once held a missile defense system in the bed. The Avenger Air Defense System, designated AN/TWQ-1 under the Joint Electronics Type Designation System, is an American self-propelled surface-to-air missile system which provides mobile, short-range air defense protection for ground units against cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, low-flying fixed-wing aircraft, and helicopters.
The Avenger was originally developed for the United States Armed Forces and is currently used by the U.S. Army. The Avenger system was also used by the U.S. Marine Corps. There is no missile defense system in the back of this truck anymore. :(
This unit runs and drives great and turn heads everywhere it goes. Only 14,500 miles. It has a very strong 6.2L Diesel engine with a 3 speed automatic transmission but will do 65+mph on highway. Has the sought after hard X-doors and avenger hard top with a genuine HUMMER H1 rear sliding window professionally installed. Front tires are 65% but rears are 95%. Keyed ignition, has the push button LED master light switch, new KDS smart start system, airlift bumper, spare tire carrier, passenger captain's chair, newer deep cycle batteries, HMMWV grounding kit from damage control customs, towing package with receiver and also has the big 200amp dual voltage(28/14) alternator. Truck has many upgrades and is ready to go. There is no rust on this truck. Body is military grade aluminum as well.
I am located just off exit 3 (Bethel, Vermont) on i89.
