THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO VIEW MY LISTING FOR THIS OFF-ROAD MASTERPIECE - A LEGEND WHICH TRULY HAS NO EQUAL. I OPERATE MY OWN USED AUTOMOBILE DEALERSHIP, AND I AM CONSIGNING THIS 1991 HUMVEE ON BEHALF OF ITS CURRENT OWNER - A WELL-KNOWN LEADER IN THE MEMPHIS INVESTMENT COMMUNITY.

THE OWNER PURCHASED THE VEHICLE EARLIER THIS YEAR (A LONG-TIME BUCKET LIST WISH) AND PROCEEDED TO HAVE IT COMPLETELY GONE OVER MECHANICALLY BY ONE OF THE BEST-KNOW HUMMER EXPERTS IN THE COUNTRY. SIMPLY PUT, THE VEHICLE DOES NOT FIT THE OWNER'S LIFESTYLE (OR GARAGE FOR THAT MATTER...IT'S BEING STORED IN A FRIEND'S HANGAR AT THE MEMPHIS AIRPORT CURRENTLY). THEREFORE, THE NEW OWNER IS GOING TO ACQUIRE A TURN-KEY, NO-HEADACHE, NO WAITING, NO-EXCUSES EXAMPLE OF EVERY GUY'S FAVORITE OFF-ROAD WARRIOR.

BELOW IS A LIST OF ALL THAT HAS BEEN DONE TO THE VEHICLE. TRY NOT TO FALL ASLEEP READING THIS RATHER LENGTHY ASSESSMENT:

On Oct-02-16 at 09:45:50 PDT, seller added the following information:

As a follow-up to questions I have received from potential bidders:

  • How much all-in does the owner have invested in this vehicle? Just over approximately $35,000. Will he get his money out? Most likely not, but he is realistic on the current state of the market. You need to seriously consider the true costs if you buy one from the Gov. A 4-door soft top that's running will run you about $11,000-12,000. The buyer's fee on that is $1,100-1,200. You'll wait 90 days before the vehicle can be released!!! Transporting it to you will run $500-1,000. Getting an actual street legal title will cost you considerable time, and possibly money if professionally handled (there are no guarantees you will get a street legal title at all. If the engine is bad when you get it, you're looking at $10,500 minimum. Then you'll find out that the brake calipers are all leaking, the brakes are rusted, the suspension is shot, the transfer case is rough, the muffler is shot or missing, the tires are bad, the doors are missing/ripped, the top is ripped or disgusting, the fuel/trans/cooling lines are cracked and leaking...The list will go on until you have spent $30,000 at the very least and up to $45,000. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME & HEADACHE, AND JUST BUY THIS ONE - YOU WILL BE SO THANKFUL THAT YOU DID!
  • Yes, the engine is BRAND NEW. It was purchased for $8,500 and cost $2,000 to have it swapped out.
  • Yes, the engine is the more desirable, better built, more reliable General Engine Products engine. General Engine Products is owned by AM General - the makers of the Humvee. IT IS NOT A GENERAL MOTORS ENGINE - which are prone to failure/cracking due to a weakness in the design on cylinder #8. Do your homework, and you will see that the majority of the other Humvee's on eBay (including the civilian versions) have the weaker engine that is guaranteed to fail (if it hasn't already). YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT WITH THIS VEHICLE THOUGH, SO DON'T GET TRICKED BY AN UNSAVORY OR UNEDUCATED SELLER!!!
  • Yes, the engine is STILL UNDER WARRANTY!!! Where are you going to find another H1 with an engine warranty?
  • Yes, this Humvee is TURBOCHARGED for an extra 50-60 Horsepower. It cost $3,500 including parts and labor to install it, plus another $500 for the interior engine cover to accommodate the turbocharger.
  • Yes, the radiator and all cooling hoses are BRAND NEW.
  • Yes that's a new exhaust down pipe in front of the driver-side rear tire.
  • No, this Humvee does not have a winch, but one could be added easily.
  • Yes, this Humvee has 2 batteries, and they are both BRAND NEW.
  • Yes, this Humvee only has approximately 16,3XX original miles.
  • Yes, this Humvee is one of the few you will find on GovPl@@T that was overhauled (May 2006) to stay in service. That means a lot when you are looking at these vehicles, and the value of that doubles what one of these Humvees are worth. Almost all of the others that haven't been overhauled are JUNK that have been sitting in fields (developing more problems) for years and years. Look closely at the driver's door of the others to see if it has been overhauled or not. DON'T GET TRICKED!
