1962 International Scout 80 4X4
Description
1962 International Scout 80 4X4
This is a great looking early year example of a Scout 80 built on July 29, 1961. I bought this scout about 3 years ago via eBay. I drove it less than 20 miles in that span. It has been kept indoors the whole time.
It has the following:
- ·1524 Cylinder Engine
- ·T-14 3 Speed Manual Transmission
- ·TC-144 Transfer Case (Dana 18)
- ·A Single Passenger Side Gas Tank
Since I have owned it, I serviced the following:
- ·Added Yellow Top Optima
- ·Replaced Light Switch
- ·Replaced all Heater Hoses
- ·Rebuilt Wiper Motors
- ·Rebuilt Carburetor
- ·Repaired headlights and turn signals
- ·Fresh oil and filter
- ·Sealed any and all leaks to floor.
- ·Purchased Owner’s Manual
- ·Purchased Line Setting Ticket
Open Issues:
- ·Hinges can be adjusted for better door alignment (pic)
- ·Rear window weather stripping has a gap (pic)
- ·2 small puncture holes on passenger door (pic)
- ·Rear bumper is slightly curved due to pulling on something heavy??? (pic)
- Have included the non stock vintage radio that it came with. Doubt that it would work
- ·Exhaust is burning rich, needs either a carburetor or timing adjustment to reduce the exhaust smell.
None of the issues impact the drivebility. This truck looks good and drives good.
This truck must be picked up at my location, I cannot deliver to a shipping depot.
This vehicle is sold as is where is with no exceptions. I do not express or imply that there is any warranty of any kind on this vehicle. Always best to see vehicle in person.
