I was driving homeafter work one day and in thefront yard of a house notfar from my shopI saw this Scoutwith a for sale sign on it. It wasn't there the day before. So I stopped, knocked on the door andtalked to the owner. He showed me around it - solid little truck with no major rust anywhere. He said itneededa motor rebuild butthe suspension and running gearwere done, tires and rimsnew and he had given it a mild lift, had also reupholstered the seats. It was so good I bought it and brought it to my shop the next day.Everything is inprocess now. As I already wrote, the motor and head machine work are almost done, other parts already rebuilt and as the photos show, a lot of body work isalso done. The bodywork will be finished end of next week. It's timeto choose the paint colorandthe stripe design.
But here's the problem - I'm not making this for me, it's for you! I have a restoration company and my mission is to turn out beautiful projects for my clients. So I want it to have your choice of paint color, your sound system and final touches, not mine. Its original color is orange but tell me what you want and we'll complete this Scout as your own personal restoration.
And just so you know, we're really good at this.We got our photos with Mr. Car Guy at the Pasadena Art Center where we showed a 1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal we restored. It had no problem being in the company of a whole lot of multi-million dollar cars. I added a couple of photos from Pasadenaso you can see what I mean, alsoof another truckproject. So let's work together andmakethis truckjust what you want.Call me with any questions and let's get started!.Thanks!
