1975 International Scout II

Description

Up for auction is a very clean 1975 International Scout II 4x4. I am the third owner, with last owners having stored it in an airplane hangar in far northern California for the last 14 years or so and only driving it a few weekends a year during the summer months. The current mileage of 30,691 is said to be original. The Scout was repainted once back in the late 90's and the interior refreshed at the same time, Other than the tape deck, chrome wheels and dual exhaust the rest of it remains unmodified. The body is in very good shape with only a few dings and scratches. There are a couple small areas where the paint is starting to bubble, one being on the passenger side rear window channel and the other in the interior on passenger side where the floor and kick panel meet. I have included pictures of both areas which could be easily fixed. Overall very solid with no through rot anywhere on this vehicle. The interior is clean with no cracks in the dash or plastic trim pieces, and the headliner is in great shape
It runs and drives good, with recent tires, oil and coolant change. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. Only known issues are the dash lights don't work and manual choke is not hooked up, but it fires right up anyhow. The gauges, wipers, heater, and lights (even backup!) are all functional. Being a 1975 it was the first year of the larger Dana 44 front axle with power disc brakes.
While not perfect as it is 41 years old, this is a great example of a clean, non-abused Scout II. You could drive it as is or do a light restoration and have a real cream puff.
