This is an Oregon vehicle that started its restoration with extremely low miles that has been updated with a lot of the latest goodies. This transformation was done about 2 years ago and hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars were spent with no short cuts. The main emphasis of this build was to be a bug out back woods and highway vehicle. This truck is incredible. The Truck has damage to the right side door and fender. A local body shop gave me an estimate of about $1500.00 to repair the dents like it never even happened. I am puzzled as to why the insurance co. would have salvaged this truck instead of repairing it as the damage is not extensive at all. My guess is that is that they were afraid of looking for parts for a 57 year old vehicle and it was just easy to pay the claim. I purchased this from the insurance co. from the state of Florida with some other vehicles so here it is.
The builder had a shifter made from a shot gun that the police didn’t like so it was removed and a Lokar shifter was installed in its place. To unbug out this truck the former owner removed the water tank, air compressor, under hood survival kit and installed a back seat. I have driven this truck only down the street due to spongy low brakes – I have not investigated as to what the problem is. I can say that this engine with a mild cam screams and the truck is fast as ----
