Description

I am calling this van a project./ And for two reasons1 although it starts right up and runs and drives fine, it has ben setting for 3 + years and should have a good going ove, fluids change, replace gasoline, check belts hoses filter, front suspension check alignment ect2 it will nThis 1968 Internation started its life as a mail truck for the navy. It was then converted into an ice cream truck in the 90's. In 2010 it was purchased (keeping a lot of the ice cream truck theme) and reformed into a hot rod/rat rod cigar truck used as a display at cigar conventions, car shows and for retail.in 2013 The drivetrain, originally a six cylinder and 3 speed auto was pulled and SWAPPED WITH A 2005 LS 5.3 V8 AND 4L60E AUTOMATIC OVERDRIVE TRANSMISSION. this drivetrain(removed from wrecked Yucon) retains it original fuel injection, wiring harness and computer but has been modified to stand alone and a complete quiet exhaust system was done at the same time and a painless wiring harness and fuse box was added. Shortly afterward, a gm hydroboost was added which suplies the power steering and power brakes and there is a obd2 port installed with check engine light making diagnossis as simple as plugging a scanner in as you would a newer vehicle.a digital dash was installed that provides digital numerical read out for your oil, temp, volts, fuel, tach and gps speedometer as well as a performance meter that gives 1/4 times speeds and 0-60 and datalogs top speeds and rpm.
The complete rearend was swapped with a gm 8-1/2 10 bolt with new brakes for a more highway friendly ratio andThe brakes are rebuilt original in front. The body is in good condition for its age with minimal rust showing at body seam and is painted hot rod satin black with some red accents and fitted with wide white wall tires that were new at time of build.the interior is done in distressed cedar including flooring with rustic corragated tin and metal cigar signs. A roof top a/c was installed along with a electrical box wich alows 110 plugs inside and for it to be plugged in to shore power or a genarator for romote use(genarator not included) there is interior rope lighting as well as a adjustable exterior spot light.eed a bonded title as it was lost before transfer and had skiped several owners i will provide bill of sale and any documents in helping new owner secure a bonded title.. any questions please ask and alow time to respond before auction end als i will be glad to take any pics you would like but again alown time before end of auctionWhat will be this 1968 international's next job?please ask questions before bidding thanks
