INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER SCOUT 2
Description
RARE SCOUT 2 TRAVELER (118" WB). GREAT BODY, NO RUST ANYWHERE. HAS DENTED RIGHT REAR FENDER EXTENSION. GOOD FLOORS. WILL SUPPLY REPLACEMENT PART. GOOD INTERIOR. FRONT DRIVERS SEAT COULD USE SOME REPAIR. TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFER CASE WORK WELL. TRANSMISSION HAS SLIGHT LEAK. ENGINE HAS SLIGHTLY NOISY VALVE LIFTERS. ENGINE SEEMS TO START AND RUN WELL. I JUST COMPLETED REPAIRS TO GET IT RUNNING. I BOUGHT TWO OF THESE, I ONLY NEED ONE. I HAVE REPAIRED/ AND OR REPLACED THE CARBUREATOR, FUEL LINE, HAD FUEL TANK BOILED OUT, REPLACED STARTER, ALTERNATOR. REPLACED DOOR LOCKS AND TAILGATE LOCK AND RODS. WHAT LITTLE I HAVE DRIVEN IT, IT SEEMS TO BE A GOOD RUNNING RIG. ALL GAUGES HAVE BEEN RE LAMPED AND WORKING. 4WD AND TRANSMISSION WORKS WELL. THERE IS A SLIGHT CLUNK WHEN TURNING RIGHT OR LEFT. I AM NOT SURE WHAT IT IS. IT DOESN'T SEEM TO AFFECT DRIVEABILITY. VEHICLE CAME FROM TUCSON,ARIZONA. ALL ROCKER PANELS, DOOR JAMBS, FLOORBOARDS AND BODY MOUNTS AND WINDSHIELD FRAME IN EXCELLENT SHAPE, NO RUST WHATSOEVER. I AM REPRESENTING THE VEHICLE AS I KNOW IT. wHEN REMOVING FUEL TANK AND REPLACING FUEL LINES, I SPENT A LOT OF TIME UNDER THE VEHICLE. IT IS AS PRISTINE AS ONE COULD POSSIBLE EXPECT. U-JOINTS AND DRIVE LINES APPEAR TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION. I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN IT FOR SHORT DRIVES, IT SEEMS LIKE A GOOD RIG.I HAVE HAD SEVERAL SCOUT 2'S OVER THE YEARS. THEY ARE A FANTASTIC VEHICLE, NOT A LOT OF FRILLS, BUT VERY GOOD OFF ROAD.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WHILE I PERSONALLY BELIEVE THIS A VERY GOOD VEHICLE, IT IS A USED CAR AND IS 40 YEARS OLD. AS SUCH, I DO NOT WARRANTY THIS VEHICLE. I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS, NOR DO I ISSUE REFUNDS. IF I DIDN'T HAVE ANOTHER ONE, I WOULD KEEP THIS ONE. AS PREVIOUSLY STATED THE BODY IS NEARLY PERFECT. VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS. SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER. IF VEHICLE IS TO BE SHIPPED, I WILL CO-OPERATE WITH SHIPPER.
