1978 international scout II fuel injection project driver
Description
This is a cool old Scout! It was well loved, I have a lot of manuals and receipts for it. It spent a lot of it's life in Texas. The body is pretty solid, front floors look good, rear floor has rust and will need to be patched on the drivers side. It runs and drives well. It has a holly projection carb/throttle body injection set up on it. The tires have about 40 percent tread, it has factory a/c that needs to be recharged but compressor is there and works. It has a nice sounding exhaust, longblock was replaced in 1997, unknown miles, but I don't think it could be too many. It has an upgraded cam/lifters. Transmission shifts excellent. The rig goes down the road well, it does feel like it needs some tie rods or ball joints. This would make a fun weekend toy/project. You can easily drive it while you fix it up! We bought it from up in northern WY at high elevation and it was running rich. The more I drive it, the better it gets and it hasn't had any drive-ability issues the last 80 miles I've drove it. This is a blast to drive, it will climb a wall and look good doing it! stautoutah.com
