Description

This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is NO BUY IT NOW PRICE!Do not ask "what is the least I will take! The least is the starting bid on the NO RESERVE auction! It takes time, money and effort to post a car on here, so, please only bid if you fully intend to close the deal at the end of the auction!
This is a 1977 International scout II traveler, it is pretty rare as they only made the traveler for 4 years. (compared to the shorter wheelbase of the regular scout II) It looks like it is pretty well loaded with tilt power steering, power disc brakes, 4 wheel drive, 345 v8, automatic transmission, Dana 44 axles, manual locking front hubs, cruse contro, Air conditioning, chrome rally wheels, receiver hitch, Craig aftermarket dual shaft cassette player! so dash is not all cut up, and probably other options that I forgot! This particular scout also has custom heavy duty bumpers, They are bolted on so they are removable if you wanted to swap back to stock bumpers. The truck has nice professionally done custom camouflage upholstery that looks like new, done on the original seat frames. The previous owner had the entire floor rhino lined many years ago, thus the floors are in very good condition, All 5 of the tires are BF Goodrich A/T"s with very few miles on them. A remanufactured carburetor sits atop the engine, an electric fuel pump was installed with new fuel lines, and the truck has dual exhaust. The fiberglass top is fully removable, so you have an SUV, a convertible, and a pick up truck all in one! Paint is metallic mocha with white stripes.
The truck passed inspection about 10 years ago and was parked just after that because of a starter issue.Truck now starts, runs, and drives. It rides surprisingly smooth for what it is! Nice, tight steering, very solid feeling and has a nice mellow burble when driving! Mileage shows approximately 104k miles, believed to be accurate as there is some documentation to support this, plus given the condition of the truck, I believe it!This truck is not a new Toyota, it is over 40 years old and is not perfect, it may need some additional work, adjustments, tinkering, depending on what you want to do with it, There are a few dents and imperfections etc., A/C does not work, I have not looked into why. System looks to be all there down to the belt! The switch in the dash does nothing when activated. The scout has not been driven very far, or fast since being brought back to a driving vehicle, expired tags, remember? but seems like a nice, good runner so far!You are welcome to ask questions or to set up a time to come see the scout and I will do my best to accommodate you. I have a fresh Texas title in hand. You are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal, therefore, the $500 deposit that is due at the end of the auction, is not refundable, so only bid if you are a real, serious bidder! Thanks for looking
