1991 Isuzu Trooper II 2.6 4cly 5spd AC Survivor Cherokee Scout Bronco Rover SUV

Thanks for checking out my 1991 Isuzu Trooper II. As you already know these are very hard to find in this condition. This trooper was bought new here in Salem, Oregon at the local Isuzu dealer at the time by a retired lady. She used it sparingly and enjoyed every minute of it. She gave it to her daughter in 2007 after 16 years of ownership, she could not drive anymore. Here daughter whom I got it from, used it everyday to drive back and forth to work, my wife actually worked with her for a bit and this is the first time that I saw this Trooper, later I learned that they lived right down the street from us and I have always eyed this trooper. It has never been off road, it has always been adult owned, it is in very good condition for a Trooper II. She bought a new vehicle for herself, and is getting ready to retire as well so decided to let the trooper go. For me it is the thrill of the chase, I enjoy getting a hold of survivor type utilitarian rigs or any interesting classic cars. I was going to keep this one for a bit and make some modifications, but I am holding out for a vintage Land Rover Series II wagon, so I am going to sell the Trooper before I get to attached and start doing stuff to it. Take a look at all the photos inside, outside, and underneath, you will see that it in great shape, no rust, or accidents very clean from what I can tell. The body on this Trooper is in great shape, very clean, no major dents, a few tiny dings small chips and scratches, but nothing bad, take a look at photos. The paint is very good, it could you another really good waxing, it does have a little bit of typical fading, but a weekend of polishing will do some wonders and really make the Red pop out more. All the body panels line up very nice, there is no rust, no bubbles, very clean underneath, no rust or damage underneath it. Overall it is nice condition for its age. It is not perfect because it has been driven, but a hard one to find in this condition. The glass is all in good condition, no chips in it, no cracks.

Mechanically it is in great condition. It starts right up, the engine sounds great. The Inline 4 cylinder is very desirable in these years, backed by the 5spd transmission. These also came in a V6, but they are not very good. The 2.6 4 cylinder like this one has is the one you want. The 4x4 system does work, I have tried it, the light does not come on in the dash, but it does work in High and Low 4wd. A bonus on this one is that it has AC that blows Ice Cold. So if you have a ranch, or cabin this would be a great summer or winter rig. Brakes seem to work good, they do not pull, stops nice and straight. Factory steel wheels look good, and has Kumho P235/75/SR15 on it with about 60% tread life on them. All the exterior lights are working, the passenger front headlight does hold a little water inside of it at the bottom, this is a common problem with these, the bulb seal goes bad, and lets water in, but the light still works. All the exterior lights are working as well. The engine does not blow any smoke or burn oil. The transmission shifts nice and smooth, clutch feels good, with no chatter. Sometimes the shifting, you need to make sure you have the clutch all the way in, the gearing is pretty tight, and you can feel the teeth in the transmission catch a little bit, I think this is pretty common on these vehicle when they wear a little from age. It is nothing I would be concerned about. Overall mechanically it is in great shape for its age and I am very impressed with it, being over 25 years old.

The interior is in decent condition for its age. The seats are in good shape, but as you can see on the drivers and passenger seat the bottom bolsters on the vinyl are starting to split and wear. It does have the hint of cigarette smell in it, she did smoke in it and did get a few burns in the carpet and one you see on the drivers seat. I am sure if you took the carpet out and really cleaned it and the seats pressure washed it all out it would help, it is not that bad to me, and I am pretty sensitive to smoke but it is there. The headliner is in good shape no rips or tears. The carpet has some staining in areas, new carpets down the road might be a nice add, you can get them pretty cheap for these actually, I saw a lot on ebay starting from $175 for the passenger area, so pretty cheap. The door panels are in good shape, but the rear passenger panel on the corner is chewed up a little not sure why. The drivers seat pocket is missing, there is one small tear on the rear passenger seat. Overall take a look at the pictures there are various flaws and you will get a very good idea of the interior condition.
