I purchased this Jaguar 5/1992 for $7995.00 with 92,865 miles. I drove the Jag for the next two years and in the spring of 1994 with 103,958 miles I decided to re-paint the car. This simple re-paint lead to a complete bare metal, blow apart TOTAL RESTORATION including everything mechanical.

Keep in mine this Jag was restored some 20 years ago and now has some 16,000 miles (119,640 mi. as of 7/2017) on that restoration. The car does show some minimal ware. The paint still looks like new although there is a small blister on drivers door corner and at both rocker panel joints, minimal paint chips on wheel splash areas. Interior looks like the day it was done.

Issues:

“Lucas” reared its ugly head.

The Jag has developed a fuel tank issue.

When switching the tanks to the right tank the left tank will empty it’s content into the right tank causing a gas overflow out the cap.

I have replaced the two wheelhouse fuel valves, switching fuel valve in trunk ($160.00), fuel pump ($75.00), fuel filter ($27.00), fuel pressure regulator ($76.00) on engine, removed and cleaned air fuel valve in trunk, and a installed a new dash switch $(20.00). New fuel tanks and gages were installed 5 years ago. I cannot figure it out. Everything has been replaced with new parts in the fuel system. Unfortunately in the process I got some gas on rear bumper and screwed up the paint.

I also installed a new battery at this point.

The car can be driven normally using only one tank with no issues. Everything works as it should. Cold AC, Windows do move slow since new track seals were installed.

The 15” XJS tires have great tread but should be replaced due to age and some dry rot. I was going to use the 16” XJ6 I have listed. At this point the new owner should decide what he or she wants to use.

I am selling this Jaguar “as is” - "where it is" with all the parts I have accumulated over the years including 6-16” Take Off Alloy wheels from a 1997 XJ6.

I have many NOS parts along with good used parts. Some things are new exhaust pipes and mufflers (non SS), NOS window lifts, gaskets, switches, filters, distributor, points, wires, repair manuals, wiring diagrams, etc.
