1990 Jaguar XJS V12 Automatic Convertible Low Miles!
Overview: For sale a very nice example of a V12 Jaguar XJS Convertible. Second owner with original ≈ 48,500 miles. This is a two seat convertible with an automatic transmission. This Jaguar starts right up, shifts smooth, and can run long distances easily. The V12 provides plenty of power to drive, and overtake, today’s traffic. We purchased this XJS with the aftermarket five spoke MOMO wheels which are mounted to good condition Michelin Pilot tires. This XJS comes with an excellent red exterior on a biscuit leather interior with wood trim accents. The operational top is black canvas with a matching biscuit headliner. Both the top and headliner are in good condition with no leaks. This is and has been a non-smoker vehicle.
Options: power mirrors, power windows, power convertible top with manual latches, cruise control, heated seats, AM/FM radio, and lockable storage container.
History: This XJS was purchased by my father in 2004 with from Harry Kaufmann motors in Milwaukee. We are the second owners of this low miles Jaguar. This car wasn’t a daily driver and has always been stored inside and never driven during the winter. Some of the more major maintenance and repairs include: front and rear catalytic replacement, new spark plugs and wires, four new shocks, differential pinion seal, crankcase sandwich plate gasket, oil cooler hoses, front crank oil seal, thermostat, steering gear, transmission mounts and new distributor. My father has recently passed away and we are selling this XJS as part of his estate.
Mechanical and Cosmetic Condition: The A/C was re-charged lately and blows cold air. This car has very minimal rust (see photos) and exterior red paint is in excellent condition. There is a mounted a bypass toggle switch to operate the top. The bypass toggle is wired into the parking brake which results in the parking brake indicator light staying on. Also there are several small scratches (see photos) and some light wear on the driver’s seat. An oil change and engine coolant flush have recently been completed. Brakes and tires are in good condition. No fluid leaks or known major mechanical issues.
