Description

Are you looking for an XK-120 project with all the hard work done? Perhaps you want a finished car but want to know without question what's gone into it and the quality of the work. Or, maybe you want something further along that you can finish out. Regardless, this car can work into any of those scenarios. We can completely finish this car out as a turnkey, fully sorted restoration. We can also advance it to any point in between its body work completed current state and fully sorted res...toration should you desire. We're also offering the car as is for the person who wants a project but doesn't want the time and considerable expense already invested here. We began with some good bones here. There was minimal rust, the only areas being behind the door shut face pillars and one battery box. There had been a prior repair to the left front fender as evidenced by some welding bead visible on the inside of the fender. The door shut face pillar assemblies were replaced on both sides and the one corroded battery box replaced. The previously repaired front fender was reworked eliminating fillers and finished not just on the outside but inside as well leaving no evidence it was ever repaired. Prior to the body work, the body was removed from its chassis. The frame was sandblasted and painted. The front suspension has been rebuilt with new ball joints, urethane bushings and new shock absorbers. At the rear, the differential was inspected and all seals and gaskets were replaced. New springs were installed along with shock absorbers rebuilt by Apple Hydraulics. All brake hydraulics were either sleeved and rebuilt or replaced. The car has been refinished in its original silver color as stated on its Heritage Certificate. Unfortunately, it's not possible to convey in photos the quality of the paintwork on this car. It is virtually flawless and stunning may be the best word to describe it. If you have an interest in this car, we encourage you to see it in person. You won't be disappointed. Note the aluminum bonnet was not photographed but is done to the same high standard as the rest of the car. We're currently installing a complete new wiring harness as seen in photos. Commencement of the engine rebuild will be starting in the next few weeks. This was a complete car and to our knowledge, no major components are missing. All of the glass, top frame, interior parts, gauges, lamps, etc. accompany the car.
