1968 JAGUAR XKE
Description
For your consideration is a 1968 JAGUAR XKE F.H.C. SEMI-SURVIVOR, SEMI-BASKET CASE, has MATCHING NUMBERS. Has been stored for the last thirty years in dry climate controlled shops. I've owned the car for the last twenty years and have done a lot of work to it including an engine and transmission rebuild (transmission was inspected and found to be in excellent condition and was resealed using new gaskets and seals). Engine runs fantastic and has only about an hour of driveway running. The body has never been hit or punched and is virtually rust free except for a portion behind RR fender well (please see pics.). The bonnet is also rust free (surface rust only) but suffered a "bump" on the LF side (easily repaired, please see pics. Wiring is very solid but need tiding up in a couple of spots. All gauges and dash wiring works including the horns. Both the bonnet and monocoque have been partially stripped by the previous owner. I have most parts to finish, however there is no windshield. Please ask any and all questions. This is a rare opportunity to restore and own a very solid E-type. I'll require a $2000.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT via PAYPAL within 24 hours of the closing of the AUCTION. SORRY NO INTERNATIONAL SALES ON THIS ONE. Thanks-Gary
