Description

This elegant 1960 Jaguar Mark IX sedan is extremely solid with very little rust, underneath or above. Floors, rocker panels, fenders, quarters, skirts are all very solid and free of rust or accident damage. The car has been stored indoors for 25 years. It has low mileage, only about 44K. We recently acquired it and got it running and able to move under its own power. The brakes were dismantled by the previous owner but the handbrake works well enough so the car can move forward and backward and stop by the brake. The interior woodwork is in sound condition and the car comes with a set of leather seats that are usable, although the original seats are pretty poor. The seats have original leather which will need recoloring.
It has a set of five nearly new wide whitewall tires. Most of the chrome has been removed and is in the enormous trunk of the car. This would make a terrific project. It is solid and decent, needing some work obviously and fresh paint, but is would not be too difficult to make this into a driver quality car. There is a clear CT title. We will help the new owner load and might deliver it in New England for expenses.
