About This Car The JAGUAR MK2 was perhaps the first true "sports sedan" that in its day was as beautiful as it was competent. After all these years, these classic Jaguars still command admiring looks and continue to impress in design, finish and quality.

Sporting the legendary Jaguar XK DOHC Twin-Cam LeMans winning based engine, the 3.8 power plant in this vehicle is just as smooth and satisfying as it was when new. This particular car has a couple of unseen but valuable enhancements including a 5-Speed manual transmission and Power Steering and Steering Rack from the Jaguar XJ40 both deftly installed by legendary Jaguar/Ferrari/Rolls expert Dick Pilcher in Richmond, Virginia.

Condition Superb! All systems work as they should; brakes, lights, gauges, wipers and such are fully functional. The doors, boot, bonnet all have excellent fit. The body had a complete respray which included removing of all chrome, floor cards, accessories, including the engine such that the firewall and interior panels are refreshed better that factory new. Likewise, the paint gloss on the interior door jams are just as beautiful as the chip and dent free interior. Chrome is especially EXCELLENT. Please note the flawless nickel in the door frames. So complete is this vehicle that a fully intact tool kit and manuals are included. Restorers of these cars have found these difficult or impossible to find. The carpets are excellent and the door cards are all new. Wood veneer is rich in colour and is flawless with no cracks, fading or chipping. The headliner as well is clean, smooth and taunt.

The Driving Experience This Mark 2 drives as well as it looks. The engine pulls strongly, runs smoothly with just a hint of the famous "purr" known to emanate from the inline Jaguar six powerplant. It shifts through the gears easily and quietly and the ride is as sublime as new. Please note: New Fuel pump installed has been erratic! May require adjustment or replacement. Vehicle is "AS-IS."

History This particular car has been owned by a charter member of the Virginia Jaguar Club and been in his collection for over 30 years. The car has won numerous 1st place awards in Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) sanctioned Concours d'Elegance events, consistently scoring above 99 points. It has been meticulously cared for by this long time Jaguar collector and enthusiast and has always been garaged. I am advertising this fine automobile for my older friend and am the founder and past president of the Virginia Jaguar Club.
