Description

Vehicle History: A recent, highly detailed, ROTISSERIE restoration was just completed on this 1969 Jaguar XKE Fixed Head Coupe before it was placed in a private museum. Every nut, bolt, screw, wire, gauge, or sub-assembly has been completely restored. Absolutely everything works including the original clock!! It has all of the available extras offered in a 1969 E-Type including rare Air Conditioning and even rarer heated rear window. Some of the notable parts replaced or rebuilt during the restoration are: All gauges, dash parts, and switches were replaced with newer parts. The AC system was completely gone through, serviced, rebuilt, or replaced as needed. Parts replaced with new pieces include, rims, tires, leather seats, headliner, visors, dash, all rubber door seals, gaskets and trim, brake pads, calipers, tail light assemblies, chrome resonators, door glass, all carpeting and most interior parts with the exception of the rear side panels and floor panels. The original 17,889 miles, numbers matching engine was pulled during restoration and cleaned and detailed.

The car will pass any inspection with flying colors and is ready to show or drive. A combination of good looks, high performance, and a laser straight exterior that is finished in a deep high gloss Burgundy with clear coat finish. Panel fit is exceptional with an attention detail. Dunlop Sport Radials, an exact match to the tires originally delivered with the car, are mounted onto new Dayton Wire Wheels, which have stainless steel spokes and a fully sealed rim eliminating the need for tubes. Open headlights without glass covers, a wrap-around rear bumper, re-positioned with tail lights below and larger front indicators are hallmarks of the Series II cars. The stainless steel and chrome trim are in excellent condition and are highlighted by the E-Types centered chrome exhaust tips emitting that "throaty" Jaguar sound !! The sporty and luxurious fully restored Black Leather Interior looks just as it did when it came out of the factory and features more comfortable seating and an array of rocker switches and gauges the E-Types are famous for. Every switch, gauge, and accessory have been tested and restored or rebuilt to work like new. This 1969 Jaguar XKE Coupe is a multiple award winner! After its previous restoration, the past owner entered her into the Capital Concours de Elegance in Sacramento, CA where it received a 1st in Class and the Grand Marshall Award. It was also entered in the Serrano Concours de Elegance in El Dorado Hills, CA where it took 1st in class again, competing against other Jaguars and English Sports Cars prepared and restored specifically for Show and Concours judging.

If your are SERIOUS about owning the best E-Type you can find, you would be hard pressed to find better, and the low reserve price is set far below the cost it would take to restore any other candidate to this standard. And don't forget, this show model has only 17,889 original miles !!
