Description

This 1967 Series I E-Type Roadster is one of the finest examples of Jaguar’s prestigious lineage. Body restoration done by Apex Auto Body of Lakewood Colo. All assembly and other mechanical electrical and interior restoration done By Ted Hummel and Mike Eastwood of Jaguar Denver Denver Colo. Ted has been well known in the Jaguar Racing and repair community since the 1970s. He has been a concours judge many times in the past and knows exactly how to restore a car to concours standards. The restoration of this vehicle began in 2014 and has just recently finished. Only about 80 – 100 miles have been driven during post-assembly testing and transport to the body shop for final polishing and buff of the new paint. Apex Auto Body is currently producing some of the highest quality body and paint restorations in the Denver area. Dave(co-owner) at the shop oversees all restoration work and personally managed the repair process on this vehicle. This vehicle is now the correct original color scheme since it was new. Opalescent Silver Grey is considered by most Jaguar enthusiasts to be the most desirable of the colors available in this era. Consideration was made to restore each and every component on this vehicle with all parts either replaced restored plated powder coated…etc. We could list everything done but that would take up much space and make for long reading. This is a true all numbers matching vehicle. The hardtop included has been restored with the correct black paint and all new rubber seals. The headliner is the original and is ivory colored. Still has the original back glass which is in good condition. The interior is factory correct type with the hardura backed seats. Vehicle has the original jack(restored) complete tool kit and new Thor hammer. With the 270 horsepower 4.2Ltr. engine(bored .020) and backed by the rebuilt 4 speed transmission and aluminum flywheel this car will really fly. The sound and feel of the engine while smoothly running through the gears is quite the experience. This car has the Heritage Certificate from Jaguar-Daimler and comes with all the invoices from the parts suppliers to sublet work. Also the owner will provide a large photo-documentary of the car in the different stages of the restoration process. Randall Trenk is the owner and son of Richard(Dick) Trenk founder of the Classic Jaguar Association. This is a highly motivated seller and will consider offers. Call Weisco Motorcars for more info or to set up an appointment to see this car in person (sorry no test drives and sold AS IS & exempt on the miles) VISIT US AT OUR SHOWROOMLOCATED AT 7000 EAST COLFAX Ave!
