Description

1989 Jaguar XJS V12 Ironlady. Vehicle runs and drives. Changes gears good. Car over heats after a while of driving. I believe the water pump if shot. Vehicle was collected on a money debt owed to by previous seller
Locks not working. Tail trunk lock knocked out-2 drill holes in rear to pop trunk. Both power windows work but 1 switch bad. Needs shocks. Eletric cooling fan relay or temp switch bad.
There is no engine knock and it cranks up every time. You will need to tow it home.sell as is and complete. It's actually probably a easy fix for a real mechanic.
Body is in nice shape with some oxidation. Interior is still pretty nice.
UPDATE: I added some interior pictures. The middle console is all there, I just removed it to take out an old car phone and to get to the power switches. While moving the car, I noticed when it gets to normal temperature on the gauge, it has an idle pulse.
+++ I have had a lot of questions on this car so let me explain what I know. The car was taken in on a 4000.00 money loan. I purchased the car from them. The car sat up for awhile and they evidently lost the keys at one point and knocked out the trunk lock, both doors locks have no key and do not work with the key I have. I flushed the fluids and it drove fine with no overheating. It then started overheating at about 20 miles. I never run it hot and there are no engine knocks upper or lower. The car now gets hot just cranked and idling, even with the electric fan jumped and running continuous. Car has old belts and I am pretty sure the water pump is not pumping. Its possible that it does have a blown head gasket also. There is no water in the oil and it does produce minimal white smoke time to time. I would consider this a project car or extremely good parts car. I would think a real Jag mechanic with a proper shop could have this back on the road fairly quickly. I am not a Jag mechanic. So like I said its will crank and drive up on dolly. Please consider all info and bid accordingly if desired. It really could be a super nice car in the right persons hands.
