Description

1976 JEEP CJ5 RENEGADELEVI'S BICENTENNIAL*IIIII*You are bidding on a 1976 Jeep CJ5 Renegade Levi's Bicentennial Edition. This is a RARE 1976 CJ and it is the Holy Grail of CJs. More rare than a Golden Eagle. Very few of these were made. This CJ is a "survivor", there is a solid original tub with no cutting or bad metal replacement work. Original Paint. Frame is solid. The original 304 V8 motor is not with the Jeep currently. The Jeep is sold with a 350 Small Block Chevy Motor and a T-150 3 Speed Manual Transmission (The T-18 4 speed was an option in 1976, NOT all Renegades had a 4 speed, that is a myth, I have owned several). The Jeep has received a lot of love and care over the last 4 years. New one piece rear axles, new balanced drive shaft and HD U-Joints, New Starter, New Battery (1 year ago), New Alternator (1 year old), Transmission and transfer case recently serviced and new fluids in both differentials, New aluminum radiator, New BF Goodrich set of 5 tires, the original CJ Renegade slotted mags are still on the Jeep. The front bucket seats are NOT the original ones for a 1976 with the LEVI STRAUSS buttons. I DO have the originals. I will knock off $400 if you let me keep one or the other front seat sets. The original 1976 Levi buckets will need re-upholstery. The set in the Jeep is out of a 1978. The Master Cylinder is new and the rear brakes have been rebuilt with all new components (shoes, springs, etc)CONCERNS:The Jeep has rust spots that are photographed in the pictures for this listing. The spots have been treated with rust inhibitor and clear coated. If you want more pictures taken in typical CJ rust areas I will be glad to photograph and email you the shots you want. I have provided the shots of the areas I found. The tub, floors, frame are solid bone dry. This Jeep spent its life in Western Oklahoma. They do not throw salt in the winter, they throw sand! Tachometer works, clock does not (It tick but the arms do not move). The Small Block 350 runs strong but the valve covers or distributor gasket is leaking oil up top. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. NO RESERVE. I will NOT end the auction early. The last 2 out 3 rare CJ Jeeps that I have sold on Ebay have gone to Europe. This is a very rare Jeep and its in a natural state. Original Paint. No bad body work and bondo. No metal tread plate hiding the sins of rot and decay. This is a stand up Jeep. Real survivor. Original Paint and stripes. Comes with Bikini top. ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING. $9900 or over owns it, If you hit reserve ($9900) and you are the high bidder you must contact me or I will kick you off. Please feel free to call me after 5pm (CST) 417-343-7566. Emails and texts will be answered, just not as fast. GOOD LUCK and Happy Bidding! Buyer pays for shipping. Jeep is for Sale Locally and the seller reserves the right to end the auction if sold locally.
