1989 Jeep Comanche
Description
I acquired this little Comanche for some work I did for a company. It has been sitting around for the last 15 years in a garage. I went through the whole thing for something to do over the winter. I am getting busy again and have no time to make the last little touches that it needs. The whole motor was gone through and rebuilt. Rebuild motor has about 50 miles on it. It starts up and runs great, however, I think it needs an idle air control valve as it wants to stall when you put the pedal to the floor quickly. The body of this truck is in great shape. Couple of minor dings on the front quarter panels and someone hit the rear passenger side bumper - could easily be heated up and straightened out. It has some light surface rust but absolutely nothing that's going through the panels. Basically, half of it is new!
New parts installed:
Rebuilt motor - crankshaft, camshaft, lifters, pistons, bearings, timing gears and chain, seals, etc
Fuel pump and filter
Brakes (front and rear)- lines, rotors, calipers, pistons, pads, etc
Exhaust - from motor to tailpipe with glasspack muffler
Water pump
Alternator
Starter
Distributor
And some other stuff I am probably forgetting
The bad:
Again, I think it needs an idle air control valve to really get it running perfect
Someone tried to steal this jeep at some point in its life so it needs a new small drivers side window and the steering column plastic is busted as well as the ignition switch - I rigged up a switch under the dash that engages the starter.
Interior is about a 5-6/10 Headliner needs to be replaced and the fabric could use a good detailing
Please e-mail with any questions and I will be happy to answer them for you!
I am also selling this locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
