I have an above average Jeep CJ-5 up for auction. It is a driver quality Jeep that has had several thousand dollars and hundreds of hours of labor spent on it. I have a folder full of receipts that will be included in the sale. It is a factory air-conditioning Jeep with all the parts and pieces still on the Jeep. The compressor and belt is still on it. It does not work and personally I don't see the need for AC on a Jeep, but its all there anyway. The Jeep has tilt steering, built in tach and a new clock that both work. It has power steering and power disc brakes. A brand new set of 32x11.50x15 all terrain tires with maybe 5 miles on them. I drove it around here with the farm use tag on after it was all put back togetherto make sure everything was working as it should. The fuel sending unit is new and the tank has been replaced with new hoses also. All the exterior lights work and mostof the dash lights work. I have a new oil pressure gauge ordered that will go with the Jeep. If it gets here in time, I will try to put it in. The list of new items are; Rugged ridge seats, both front and back, with the back being a flip and fold style.floor mats front and back, CD stereo with usb, ipod and mp3 hookups, new pioneer speakers, new glove box, new paint, new decals and pinstripes, new windshield, new weatherstripping, side marker lights, park light lenses, tires, centers, wheel bands, lugs, bikini top, headers, side exhaust, spark plugs, oil change with filter using Castrol 10w40 oil, rhino lined interior, spare tire cover, battery, wipers, 4 new Skyjacker shocks....I'm sure I am forgetting something...I have all the hardware for a soft-top that's included. I don't have any doors for the Jeep. The frame was perfect on this Jeep with no rust at all. We cleaned it good and painted it with Rustoleum semi-gloss black. The body was really good also with the only rust being in the floor pans. It was a few spots on the passengers side like pin holes and the drivers side had a couple that you could stick the end of a pencil thru.I had a local metal shop cut me 2 patch panels from cardboard templates to repair these two areas. With these panels in place and the rhino lining it looks really good and is solid. The Jeep does not leak anything. It starts right up, the clutch is strong, all the transfer case, manual hubs, transmission and 4-wheel drive work as they should with no problem. The Jeep has had a lot of money spent on it already, but I am sure the winning bidder will find things they don't like or just want tochange and will spend more on it. The Jeep is 38 years old and its not perfect, but its not being priced as a frame of resto. It is a driver quality Jeep that you can get in and ride it and enjoy it as is.Please feel free to ask any questions at all. I check my email daily and will respond promptly. I have 2 shippers that I deal with on a regular basis. I can furnish the winning bidder a quote or pass the shippers number on and you can do it. I have tried to include everything as best as I can. Please take a look at my feedback before bidding. I like to keep these old vehicls on the road for folks to enjoy. Bidders with less than 10 feedback will need to email or call me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
On May-01-16 at 17:19:50 PDT, seller added the following information:I've had a couple of questions about the Jeep, so I want to add to the description. It has a clear Virginia title in my name. The farm use tag is on it just for test driving within 10 miles of my house. I don't have to have insurance and buy regular tags. Also the Jeep has front seat belts only. The tub supports have no rust in them. The engine does not smoke, leak or rattle and runs great. The fender flares are new also. If anyone has anymore questions feel free to ask. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
