Description

1979 Jeep Cherokee Golden Eagle. Pulled out of a barn in Michigan last year. Last registered in 2010. AMC 360 2 BBL, 400 3 Speed trans, Borg-Warner Quadra Trac transfer case (full time 4WD), A/C (inop), Golden Eagle package, frame mounted trailer hitch, power steering, power brakes with front disc, AM/FM stereo, new door speakers, non-original black center arm rest, new battery, new rear main seal, new oil pan gasket, oil change, new steering stabilizer, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and valve cover gaskets. Vehicle has been road tested and everything checks out as it should except where noted. Brakes are good, tires are fair and are not a matching set. A/C may need a charge to be working, Heater works great as well as the wipers. Front bumper is anodized and should be chrome. As most of these older Jeeps leaked, this one leaks on the passenger floor and the floor is rotted because of it. It doesn't look so bad from the bottom as most of it is over the floor braces. The left rear flare also has rust issues as shown in pics. See pics for condition.Doors, frame, hood, tailgate, fenders are all solid. All paint is original with the exception of the tail gate. Tail gate window switch in the dash does not work. Rear tail gate window switch (in the tail gate) works when grounded using jumper wires tucked behind the rear bumper (non factory). The emergency drive function as it should. Jack assembly is missing. Matching full size spare tire is stored under the rear body.
This vehicle is a great example of a survivor and could be driven as is or restored. It is not a show vehicle and is not represented as one.
