1982 Jeep CJ7 Renegade Sport Utility 2-Door 4.2L
Description
Hello, you are looking at a 1982 Jeep Renegade CJ-7; a REAL AMC JEEP CLASSIC !!!! Not a Chrysler imitation. If you do not know what I mean with the last statement, this Jeep is not for you; please look for a 1987 or later year Jeep. I purchased this Jeep about 4 years ago and it has been a blast driving during this time. I need to get rid of it now because my youngest daughter is about to start driving and I need the space for safer car for her.
The Jeep as you can see in the pics is in really nice condition and comes with a soft top ( just purchased last year), a bikini top (not pictured but never used), soft and hard doors that match along with a few items I added or upgraded in the last 4 years. The jeep has a 5 speed with a straight 258 - 6 cylinder. Since it is the Renegade model it comes with extra dash items like a clock and tachometer (and a few other items I cannot remember). It came to be with a bit of a lift, not sure how much and 33" tires. It also came with an upgraded carburetor which works great !!! If you are familiar at all with the normal stock ones you know the problems some of them had. Below is a list of what I added since I bought it, and some of the bad things I have noticed.
**I can send you a Vehicle History Report if you like, just send me your e-mail address**
**I Added New unless noted:**
Spare tire and swing arm (used)
Both step bars
Interior carpet
Amazing stereo/amp/speakers
New Bestop soft top and hardware
Used soft doors
Bikini top
Steering box
some body mounts
Extra under dash lighting
Shocks
Thermostat
New dash nobs
Mirrors
wipers
Car cover
Regular jack
Many other things that I cannot remember unless asked
**The Bad:**
A little rust starting to bubble in a couple places
Original dash clock runs but does not keep good time
Oil pressure Gauge is not 100% accurate
Soft Doors are showing signs of wear
Better then normal wear on an almost 35 year old vehicle
I am not in a hurry to sell and will drive all summer if I do not get the price this beauty deserves, I think the $9,200 I am asking is a very fair price for this classic. I am not trying to get out what I put into it, i know that never happens. Even though it is not perfect, you can drive it immediately with no additional work needed, or you have excellent bones to do a complete restore if that is what you are looking to do I routinely drove it to the beach and back over the years, I cannot tell you how many looks you get in the Jeep no matter where you go. I am sure I have left out a bunch of stuff, but you really need to come see it to appreciate it. Call/text me with any questions, but please do not insult me with a low offer, she will be worth every penny of what it takes to buy her.
