1978 cj JEEP
Description
1978 One Owner CJ 7 Jeep -
I have known this jeep for 8 years when one of my clients would say he would get it back onthe road one day. His father bought the jeep new. When anything needed to be repaired, it wasalways taken to the jeep dealer. When he died, it was passed on to his son. He drove it for twelvemonths. And then the vehicle was parked for 8 years. This vehicle was traded to me for a suburban.
I have repaired the following to make it road worthy:New fuel pumpNew fuel linesRebuilt original carburetorNew heater hoses - New coolantNew fan beltNew batteryNew brake hosesBrake system bledChanged oil and filterFull tune upStarts first hit (electric choke)New wiper bladesNew pinyon seal rear
This vehicle is 4.2 6 cylinder3 speed manual transmissionDana 20 transfer caseDana 35 front (disc brakes)Corporate 20 rearManual steeringTires and exhaust are in excellent conditionNo oil leaksSprings and shocks in good conditionThis jeep drives very nicely for its age. It is an old school cj, and it is well worth restoring. The original top was blue, but it was removed because all the zips were broken and the windowsfogged. Have the original frames for the doors and the top including bows. I will leave to thepurchaser to choose what color top they want. I was going to put black top.
This jeep was bought brand new locally, Was serviced regularly by the original owner who used itfor light 4 wheel driving- Has the original engine rebuilt - Has less than 500 miles since recon.Has a clean Texas title, but it is not registered and cannot be driven on the highway. Can help load. This vehicle is located 120 miles east of Dallas on Hwy 20, and 60 miles from Shreveport, La.
Genuine reason for sale. I already have 4 jeeps. Please do not ask the reserve, it is unfair to other bidders. It is a reasonable price for this vehicle. Will answer all questions.
