1979 AMC Jeep Cherokee Wide Track 2 Door Wagon Alpaca Brown

Great old original,very cool Alpaca Brown 1979 Jeep Cherokee 2 door survivor. This Jeep is all original and still has mostly original paint, the rear fender flares have been repainted. See the picture of the build sheet and window sticker for all of the factory options and specifications. This Cherokee runs and drives well, the engine had the heads re-done, the fuel pump, water pump, and thermostat replaced, the carb has been cleaned, and obviously all the top end gaskets replaced. The transmission shifts smooth and everything works with the exception of the fuel gauge and the cruise control. The only this that is not stock is the exhaust manifolds where replaced with headers by the first owner. I have driven it about 600 trouble free miles and otherwise its sits in the garage, I have owned it for the past 4 years, the title is clean and in my name. It could use a new set of tires and the chrome on the bumpers is not very good. The rear dome light lense/cover is missing. The brakes have been checked out and the master cylinder replaced, they work great. The CB radio I installed and it was an NOS unit I found, I have not tuned the antenna yet. This Jeep is in really nice shape for what its age it was never off-road, the original owner used it to tow an travel trailer for camping, the paint still shines although its thin in few spots, the body and frame are really clean. The only rust was the rear flares had some spots that have been repaired. The floor boards, quarters, body mounts ect. are really nice. I would leave this rig just the way it is as there are not many old originals left, check out the pictures, call me at 312-972-7614 if you have any questions or need something else photographed. I wanted to add that there is the full time 4 wheel drive knob inside the glove box, and I have the owners manual and some original touch up paint from AMC, I was asked to post more pictures, however I can't delete the ones already posted and I used up the 24 that Ebay allocates.
