Description

1986 Jeep CJ 7. Reconstructed title as previous owner replaced frame. Exterior color is 1982 Chevrolet blue. All fiberglass body except metal windshield frame. Equipped with:
Chevrolet 327 smallblock V8 engine from 1969 Camaro. Headers, catalytic converters, and side exit exhaust.
SM465 four speed manual transmission (3 speed with granny gear) with hydraulic clutch.
205 transfer case.
Warn lockout front hubs.
Skyjacker steering stabilizer.
Frame welded steering box brace.
Shackle reversal, suspension, and body lift.
38-12.50 Super Swamper TSL tires with great tread (36" spare).
5 Mickey Thompson aluminum wheels with simulated bead locks (one for spare not mounted).
New tilt steering column.
Grant Racing steering wheel.
Soft half doors, tonneau cover, and bikini top (not pictured).
Custom front and rear heavy duty bumpers. Rear has attached spare tire carrier.
Stainless steel accessories including taillight guards, mirrors, hood latches, etc.
No carpet. Rubberized spray in lined floors.
I'm sure theres plenty I'm forgetting, just ask anything you want to know.
Frame is extremely clean with no rust. Windshield frame clean with no rust. Of course no rust on fiberglass body. Garage kept.
I have drove the Jeep at about 70 mph on the interstate. It will do it, but I don't recommend it. Great for cruising around town, country roads, and trails.
The bad:
Passenger side header gasket leaking. About a $10 fix. If I get time, I'll do it before it sells.
Older Chevy smallblock so the rear main seal leaks some oil.
Some paint scratches. Spots on hood where previous owner did not latch the hood and it hit the windshield frame.
Broke passenger side rear fender flare.
Oil pressure gauge and volt meter gauge work properly. Speedometer and odometer work but are not accurate. Temperature gauge does not work. Fuel gauge does not work(bad sending unit).
Front bumper has rust through.
It has a CD player radio but no speakers installed. I tried to get pics of bumper rust, broke fender flare, and worst of the paint blemishes to show here.
Odometer shows 22,xxx miles. I'm sure this is not correct.
All around a great Jeep for cruising the town or hitting the trails. I have had it off road on the trails, but no mudding, rock climbing, or beating. As is it's not going to win a car show or tackle the worst trails, but it could with little work. I've tried to give an honest, thorough review. Feel free to ask any questions or make time to come see it. I work an odd schedule, so please try to plan ahead if you'd like to inspect it.
PayPal deposit required. Cash or certified check (must clear bank before I'll release the Jeep) only. I have title in hand. If you want it shipped, I will hold/store the Jeep for you for as long as you need after payment is received. I will help all I can with shipping but it ultimately falls back on you for delivery/pickup. No warranty, sold as is.
I am selling to get a more mild mannered/family friendly TJ. This Jeep has a rear seat, but not suited for booster and child seats, and I want to be able to take my kids on Jeep rides. If you have one, I would consider a trade.

On May-12-16 at 14:10:23 PDT, seller added the following information:

Leaking exhaust header gasket replaced with quality aluminum gasket.

It does have power steering and power brakes.
