Description

For sale with no reserve is this 1969 Jeep Wagoneer. Unfortunately, we've had a run of very bad luck at our shop with this Jeep over the past few months, so we're going to let it go to the highest bidder who has the time to take care of the damage that has been done recently, at the bottom of this listing is the description we had for this Jeep prior to the following two incidents -
1) The Jeep had an engine fire, likely caused by a loose fitting to the brand new carburetor. As a result, most everything under the hood is likely going to need replaced. The good news is that this was converted to a SBC 350 set up, so any donor truck from the 70's/80's would make a very easy swap. Turbo 350 transmission and transfer case should be fine, as it shifted smoothly before the fire and likely was not damaged. As far as the body being damaged, the hood is still straight, but will clearly need blasted, primed and painted (or just get a new one). I attempted to show all of the damage on the pictures, seems like the rest of the body escaped, with the exception of the top of the fenders and grille, which do have some soot and areas to re-do, though they are still very straight. The windshield got cracked, but several pieces of replacement glass are included.
2) Two weeks ago our shop was hit by a tornado. While the Jeep did not take the worst of the damage by a long shot, it did have a branch hit just above the driver's side door that made a dent in the roof as shown in the pictures. There is no headliner in the truck, and it's bare metal underneath, so it can be pounded out easily enough. The Jeep also sustained a small scrape in the paint, which may be mostly buffable, I included a close up in the pictures.
For the right person who wants to do a little work, this is an AWESOME project. It is beyond obvious that it does not run or drive, and clearly will need to be trailered home. If you intend to use a transport company, please let them know that it is a non-runner, as they like to know that kind of thing ahead of time.
Again, the description below is what we had on the Jeep BEFORE the damages occurred. We were asking $10,000 at that point, and had significant interest, but we know it's not worth anything near that anymore. Our loss is your gain, as they say...

Check out this beast of a Jeep Wagoneer. We picked it up for fun a few years back from Arizona - we've had our turn with it, now it's someone else's chance to enjoy the most unique truck in town. This Jeep starts, runs, and drives, but is an old vehicle and still has some finishing work that the new owner can put in to tie up the loose ends.

BODY - The body on this Jeep is very straight. It came from Arizona and was straight, clean and rust-free when we got it, though the paint was done for. We had it sanded down and repainted in a great looking period-correct shade of sage green. No rust repair was required as the body panels were already rust free, but there are a few small spots here and there that show prior repairs, specifically on the lower rockers. The paint work was done by a local body shop, but is a less expensive single stage job, and the door jambs / engine bay were not done. That being said, the paint looks good and the vehicle looks amazing going down the road and gets a ton of thumbs-ups wherever you go! The frame is solid, and the body mounts, which are seen in the picture and are lift mounts, are all solid. The floors are solid, but clearly have been patched/welded in places here and there. The floors have all been Rhino lined in the interior and feel solid and look great. The doors do not sag and all shut easily as they should. The only dent of note is a small one on the hood where something must have fallen on it - it is likely removable by PDR as there is no paint damage, or it can be left as is - it is not particularly noticeable. Grille is from an earlier Galdiator model. Fenders have been cut with large fender flares installed as seen in the pictures - there is no rust under the flares and they were removed for the re-spray.

INTERIOR - The seats are black vinyl, it is unknown if thery are original. Passenger seat has some splitting at the top seam. Contgrols and gauge cluster are all in nice shape. All glass is good. Floor has been rhino lined and is very solid. Many original stickers and badges still in good shape as seen in pictures. Lap belts are installed. The vehicle has no headliner at this point. Many replacement and spare interior parts are included, including replacement glass, gauges, and other miscellaneous parts. Several of the gauges / controls are not hooked up or non-functional, most notably the fuel gauge.

MECHANICAL - The Jeep 6-cyl has been replaced with a tried and true Chevy 350. The Carburator is a brand new Edelbrock with automatic choke, which helps the engine start easily and runs beautifully. Transmission is a GM TH350 with the transfer case to match. Radiator is new and in good shape and is cooled by an electric fan. Lines have not been run to the heater core. Brakes are vacuum power asisted, function well, and appear to be a GM setup. Fuel is delivered by an electric fuel pump mounted near the tank. The engine, transmission, and transfer case are all in very good operational condition, though a front driveshaft has yet to be installed. Tires are huge and are in excellent condition. An aftermarket wiring harness has been installed and looks good. We do not know what diffs have been installed, but have taken it on the highway where it cruised well. NOTE - miles are unknown and it is EXEMPT from mileage reporting due to age. All in all, this is a well functioning, easy to work on truck with a modern powertrain and easy to find parts with excellent upgradeability.
