M715 Jeep 1967 5/4 ton Army Truck with winch
Description
Shes Ugly. Shes got several rust holes and has been patched up in the usual places these bodies rust. She drips oil from the trans and the engine (seals are getting olde) But she is 100% original and still drives. She has always sported various shades of green paint. The front axle has some white paint on it because it was swapped out with a replacement.
Everything works on it except the fuel gage and the front winch. (The front winch isn't hooked up to the Transmission PTO, most of the PTO shaft is missing). The front winch is mostly for looks anyways, it's at least a 2 or 3 man operation if you really wanted to operate this engine powered winch.
The engine runs smooth. It still has the military ignition on it (24V). Sometimes it will smoke a little after starting if you let it sit for a few months.
This truck is a perfect beater truck. But if you wanted to rebuild it back to mint condition, then plan on buying a parts truck.
The 2 Front tires are NDTs and are in great shape. The 2 rear tires and spare are old farm truck tires that have some edge chunks missing.
The brakes have been completely redone. All the hoses, lines, pads, master and slave cylinders were replaced a few years ago. But it still takes a grown man and a box of wheaties to stop this thing.
You could probably drive her home if you lived less than 200 miles away from Detroit. She has a top speed of around 50mph (with those 5.87 axles). Anything further you will want to rent a Uhaul trailer (the biggest one they got is just big enough).
Payment and pick up can be negotiated. Michigan title.
I also have a shed full of spare parts that I will give you first dibs to bid on if you want to buy them at extra cost (spare t-case, spare trans, fuel tank, doors, fenders, troop seats, exhaust, etc).
