No Rust, No Bedliner, No problems!
*Please note that the video shows the Jeep with hard doors. The doors do not come with the Jeep as they are being used for an alternate project. Also, the rear bumper and tailgate are the only items bent. The frame is perfect and not tweaked from the bumper damage.
Selling a 1984 Jeep Scrambler CJ8. This is a good one guys! This scrambler spent it's whole life in southern California and has absolutely zero rust, just a couple areas of very minor surface rust that all vehicles of 33 years of age have. Jeep passed CA smog last year too and is currently registered until 2018.
The body, tub, floors, etc are as rust free as it gets. At one point the floors were coated with plasti-dip, and actually did a great job keeping it rust free. The nice thing is the coating literally peels off with ease using just your fingers. If you wanted to strip the coating off the floors, remove the seats and it can be done it under an hour.
The seats are decent nutmeg seats, original to the Jeep. They have been covered for a long time. Dash pad has some cracks. Front passenger fender has a little tweak, like something barely hit it. Tailgate is not salvageable as the previous owner used to load dirt bikes in the back of the truck bed and the ramp seems to have killed the tailgate. Truck bed and bulkhead are very straight. Other than the tailgate and passenger fender, this Jeep is about as straight as they come.
Engine runs strong, but fails to maintain an idle without keeping your foot slightly on the gas. Carburetor is either shot, or needs a rebuild. Engine has the usual leaks these CJs tend to have, so new owner should replace the rear main seal, oil pan gasket, and valve cover gasket.
No surprises folks. This is an honestly described, rust free Scrambler Renegade from Southern California. Please call with questions. This is priced to move quickly. Sold as-is. What you see in the photos is what you get. You just don't find Scramblers in this condition any more. 520-789-0875
