Recently Restored Daily Driver
Description
Restored Grand Wagoneer. Car has over 60 hours of professional work (receipts on hand). Engine has had fuel pump, radiator, distributor, spark plugs, gaskets, fan belt, AC, carburetor replaced/rebuilt. The Jeep has also had window motors, electronics, radio, exhaust, catalytic converter...and many other parts replaced/rebuilt. Interior has been restored (not replaced) by Fibrenew process, new white wall tires have been added, and exterior vinyl has been replaced with new wood grain 3M vinyl, repainted 1.5 years ago with factory correct silver metallic paint. Runs Strong.Known issues for full disclosure:
- Right interior door handle teeth do not connect to locking mechnism, needs to be refurbished.
- Headliner has faded from red to orange. No sag, but may be replaced.
- Carburetor and fuel mixture running lean due to California smog restrictions; to correct, dial forward, and may require bigger jets.
- Rear carpet tornunder cargo mat.
- exterior mirror toggle functions well, but the unit is loose and may need a backing attached.
- Transmission has a slight slip when going from 2nd to 3rd, informed by shop it is not a large issue and easy to fix.
Passed smog with flying colors, fully registered in CA.Clean southwest car with ZERO rust (has been registered in Texas and California for the entirety of its existence).
