1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer 4x4 Low Mileage
Description
I've got a modified and super bad a** '86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. This has been my daily driver for the last 4 years. Currently has about 153,000 miles. The previous owner said he had the transmission rebuilt and when I bought it there was only about 25,000 miles on the trans. When I bought it in 2014 it read 120,000 miles, so I've only put a little over 30,000 on it. This Jeep has a 360 engine and has functional 4 wheel drive.
There isn't any carpeting, the previous owner ripped it all out. The driver's seat is in rough shape. Back seat had the male buckles for the side seats but no female parts. We put in a new seatbelt for the center so I could strap my youngin in. I have almost every receipt for work done and parts replaced. I also have most of the receipts from the previous owner, including the receipts for where he bought the paint he used to paint it the tan and brown you see.
I just put a brand new battery in it a few months ago. Recently I replaced the alternator and starter solenoid. There are non street legal spot lights mounted on the front. Also, tire mount on front is custom and has a functional spare tire. There is a spare tire under the trunk, I've never taken it off to see what shape it's in. I was hit by a drunk driver in 2015 and there is a dent on the very rear end near the bumper on the passenger side. I had the bumper repaired, but I didn't have the dent fixed. The tires are in good shape, the front tires are newer, about 1.5 years old. The rear tires are more expensive beefy tires and were on it when I bought it, but as you can see in the pictures still have lots of tread. There is a radio with CD player that does work. Title is free and clear and will be in your hand the day you pick it up.
Things I am aware of being wrong :
It currently needs new exhaust which I was planning on doing soon. If the sale exceeds $3,000 I will have the exhaust done before you pick up.
There is a stuck exhaust valve.
Currently, I have to add oil about once a month to once every other month, and trans fluid about twice a year.
There is rust. There's a hole that needs patched up in the floor board under the brake peddle. There are 2 small holes in the runner board on the drivers side that don't effect much, its just sad to see. There are 3 holes in the floor that I have rivited sheets of metal over.
The tailgate was originally electric but the previous owner took all the motors out and replaced it with a manual crank for the window which doesn't fit properly and the gears have slipped. The crank has also scratched up the tailgate. So, currently the window doesn't go down and the tailgate won't open without the window rolling down. Again, just needs someone with time and energy.
Back up lights don't come on, but brake lights and signals all work.
The radio does work but the speakers are original and recently stopped working.
This has been a very loved Jeep, but unfortunately in the last 2 years I haven't had the ability to get it back into shape. It needs someone who can give it some tender love and care.
I'm happy to answer any and all questions to the best of my ability.
