1967 Jeepster Commando, rock crawler, trails, go anywhere
Description
I have a 1967 Jeepster for sale. Tons of custom fab work. Custom rectangular tubing frame, stretched 5". Some round tubing in back. Wheel base is 108". Nice tube work in the front to protect grill, custom tube fenders to fit stretch (hood also stretched 5") nice cage and tube spare tire carrier. Carrier swings down to make accessing tire/back easier. Has rocker guards that fit the body line that are removable and tied into the frame. You can lift the jeep with these rocker guards. Also has skid plates to protect underbelly and gas tank. Engine is a fuel injected small block 350. Has original wiring with the factory fuel injection. Seems like there are more wires then necessary (there probably are) but it is pretty clean under the hood. I thought about rewiring the entire jeep, but every time I do, my mind drifts to doing a LS swap and doing the wiring then. Thats just how I think. TH350 trans, NP203/NP205 doubler with triple stick cable shifter from JB Fab (they make sweet stuff). Trans leaks a little. I have replaced the pan gasket with routine maintenance a couple times and it still leaks so its probably the kickdown cable or the pan itself could be warped. Never leaked too bad so I did not worry about it too much. Axles are dana 60 front, sterling 10.25 rear. locked with 5.13 gears and disc brakes all around. Custom link suspension with a 3 link with panhard bar up front and a wishbone 3 link in rear. Front has ORI struts (yes, marshmallo titties) with coils in back. Suspension and steering links are 1/4" wall tubing. Steering is hydro assist. Tires are 39.5" Irocs on 17" H2 aluminum wheels. Interior has corbeau seats. The back has a rack in it right now to hold two kids car seats but I do have a matching corbeau bench seat. This jeep has just under 2,500 miles since it was built. It has the perfect wheel base to do any trail. I wanted something I could put my family in and still have room for gear. Although I have only wheeled this jeep on hard core rock trails a couple times, it will go almost anywhere. It has done the independence trail system near Penrose. If you know rocks then you know it does not get much tougher than Penrose. This jeep is not beat up, but is ready to go wherever you have the desire to do. The paint is fresh, it is a ford metallic blue color. Just know this was a $5,000 paint job and not a $20,000 paint job. It looks great but is not show quality. I mostly use the jeep to drive into town and get ice cream with my family at this point. I cannot go anywhere without people wanting pictures and to ask about it. There is tons of money in the custom frame and tubing work. It comes with a nitrogen filling station for the ORI struts and CO2 onboard air system. Im selling it because we just dont go wheeling anymore and we are buying a new house with a much smaller garage.
Im sure I have forgotten a lot but I am willing to talk to anybody interested. 97o22728o0
