If your thinking of buying a Grand Wagoneer or any car from Mark Thompson Ebay Seller everyclassic of Covington WA, Kent WA and Auburn WA think twice...... Mark is as dishonest as a used car salesman can be. His ads are wildly false and misleading, full of omissions and conveniently overlooking critical faults of major proportions.
The 1987 Grand Wagoneer I purchased from Mark on Aug 27, 2018 was advertised with the following claims: ( copied verbatim from Ebay ad)

"Rust? Well, this classic Jeep HATES rust and you'd be hard pressed to find anything here to worry about !" "Climb over, under and throughout - I know you'll come up smiling!"
One look underneath the Jeep and you immediately notice large chunks of steel missing from the inner rocker panels, over a foot of metal on the Drivers side and 8" on Passenger. When I called Mark to point out how dishonest and misleading his ad was regarding this easy to spot corrosion, his explanation was: Well Steve, I'm 64 years old so I cant really get under the cars like I used to....
But wait, how about this lie, copied verbatim from his Ebay ad: "Attention will be needed to make the A/C functional ( we're not sure what that will entail) " Well, actually, there is no Air Con unit, virtually every single component from compressor, condenser, evaporator, brackets, hoses etc are missing ! When asked about that obvious outright lie on his Ebay ad, Marks explained, " I might not have looked under the hood"
I made every attempt to handle this matter in a private, reasonable manner but Mark said I should have inspected the vehicle prior to purchasing, rather than believe his misleading ad copy.

OK now on to your opportunity to purchase a nice looking Grand Wagoneer at a great price. This truck was intended to be an off road adventure truck for my desert area home where A/C is a must. Rather than try and install a complete A/C system, I would prefer to sell this Wagoneer to someone that does not care iF it has A/C or can install themselves. Since receipt of the car from seller I have repaired the major fluid leaks, changed all fluids including coolant, oil with filter, trans fluid with new filter and pan gasket & flushed brakes, replaced plugs, electronic pick up in distributor, distributor cap and cleaned reset the carb. Car runs great, shifts great, & 4 wheel drive operates as it should. The gas gauge does not work, oil pressure and water temp gauges on dash are inop however auxiliary mechanical gauges have been installed under dash and work well. There are no emissions controls or parts on this vehicle so it will not pass emissions testing in a state that requires it. The rust is fully detailed in pictures below, I have seen far worse and it can be repaired fairly well by someone handy with a welder and some sheet stock. Im not........
