1989 Grand Wagoneer White with Burgundy Restoration
Description
This vehicle was sold by a local dealer for a friend who was pressed with paying his kids college tuition. It was his three year restoration project with over 42,000 invested. The vehicle was so "new" we could not resist. Among the improvements were new motor and transmission, new distributor and coil, new carburetor, rebuilt differentials, new exhaust system, new brake system, new power steering, new over sized gas tank, new starter, new air conditioner, new carpet, electric window motors, sony stereo system / blue tooth, rear cargo cover, headliner, floor mats, exterior was stripped and repainted, bumpers and wheels were refinished and new tires added. We do not know the complete history of the car, but were told it had been through an engine fire and thus they salvage title. The original wood grain paneling was unmarred and did not have to be replaced. The pictures really do not do the vehicle justice. You have to see it in person to appreciate how extensive the restoration work was. After we received the vehicle we had a few things we weren't satisfied with. The original armrest had been removed for a modern console and we put it back to "original". The transmission developed a leak and we had it replaced so there would be no issue. All in all we have probably driven it about 10,000 miles in three years. We found a 1985 model in the gold color that is more nostalgic for us, so we must let this one go. Its wonderful fun. Use it to get your Christmas Tree, go on a picnic, tailgate at the game or make your family Christmas card. All you need is the family in sweaters or flannel, a dog and a camera and Tommy Hilfiger won't have a photo that is better. As with all older automobiles there is no warranty implied or guaranteed. Vehicle is available for inspection if desired. Shipping paid by buyer.
