Description

I have owned this Jeep for 19yrs and have done all of the work on it. I built it with no expense spared (easily 35k-40k invested) and planned on keeping it forever. It was my daily driver for many years, the frame off & body were done in 2013 and it was then a spare vehicle but still driven regularly year around. Drove it to Charlotte NC and did the 2014 Hot Rod Power Tour Long Haul with no problems. Recent life changes have left the Jeep as an extra vehicle which will not really get driven and I don’t want to just let it sit around, I would rather someone else get the same enjoyment out of it that I have had for years.

Body & Interior:

Shell Valley heavy duty fiberglass / Kevlar, Viper yellow color mixed in with gel coat. There are few minor nicks on the corners of the body as it came loose from its skid during shipping. Flip front mounted and re-enforced to grille / core support. Custom fabricated hinge assy bolted to bottom of grille / core support and bolted through the frame. Custom bumpers and nerf bars, from bumper hinged to allow opening of the flip front without interference. Used an air needle scaler to clean entire frame, painted with POR15 & top coated metallic grey. Cut out and replaced the rear cross member in front of the gas tank, replaced all of the spring bushings at the same time. Stainless steel grill cover and hinges. Double cable lock hood release and custom hood locating system. Body, flip front and top fit tight and don’t rattle. Custom fabricated weldment behind the dashboard to mount windshield frame instead of just through bolting it to the fiberglass. Custom full roll, cage which is bolted through the body to metal plates / fabrications and bolted to the frame through the body mounts. Xenon extended fender flares. Original carpet and seats, driver’s seat has some seams splitting but the others are in great shape, front 3 point seat belts, rear belts are stock. Stereo system kicks a$$, includes custom Pile speaker box, amp mounted under driver’s seat, upgraded speakers in dash & older JVC stereo (I use the cassette adapter to run an mp3 player). Battery is in an aluminum battery box under the back seat, remote battery posts in the engine compartment on the passenger side. Comes with factory hardtop and full hard doors, which seal way better than any of the aftermarket ones. Hard top has quick release latches and thumb screws. People don’t use full hard doors with fiberglass bodies, so I had to fabricate custom door strikers, the body is completely filled with resin where they are mounted, the doors close nice and seal tight. The door window frames have the typical rot on them, they were filled with epoxy back in 2013 & have held up pretty good. Included are 2 brand new OEM door shells, I was saving them until the stock doors were completely shot. Gas tank modified to utilize TJ style filler instead of the typical one behind the license plate.

Suspension & Drive train:

5-1/2” Rubicon Express lift and 1” body spacers, 35” tires (excellent shape), spare tire is for looks only, it does not hold air. Shackle reverse kit on front greatly improved handling, also lifted the front another inch. To compensate in the rear, custom spring hangers were fabricated and the top shackle bolts were moved from the frame to the spring hangers. 258 strait 6 was replaced with a Jasper motor in 2007 with Mopar Performance multi-port fuel injection and ignition system (computer mounted under passenger seat), stainless steel header & stainless Borla exhaust system. Stock transmission was replaced, slip yolk eliminator upgrade and new drive shafts also installed at that time. Crappy stock shift linkage replace with custom bracketry and shift cable. Steering shaft and steering column seals recently replaced. Heavy duty ant sway bar, 3 steering stabilizers & Posi-Lok cable differential engage system in front. Dana 30 & Dana 35 axles completely rebuilt 2 years ago, new Dana front and rear Posi differentials, welded axle trusses, differential girdle / covers, all new bearings, new front axle u-joints, new rear axles, rear disc brake upgrade, all new stainless brake lines, new G2 4:88 gears which are great around town… 42mph @ 2000rpm / 52 @ 2500 / 62 @ 3000 / 72 @ 3500, new G2 4:10 set included for more highway driving, would drop ~500rpm @ above speeds. Dave’s customs performance brake power booster and master cylinder, Summit Racing adjustable proportioning valve & vacuum pump. Be Cool aluminum radiator mounted on custom frame with adjustable tie rod supports, B&M Super Cooler mounted in front of (not on) radiator.
