1980 CJ5 304V8
Description
I bought this several years ago in Augusta, GA and drove it 3 hours home without any issue. Title's clean. It was originally an inline 6 but has since been converted to a 304 V8 with sidepipes. The block has the factory correct color and electronic ignition. I had the fuel tank and lines replaced, carb rebuilt, hydraulic clutch installed, replaced the odo, had the rear bumper/hitch assembly welded to the frame, and had the transmission mount correctly secured. All work was done by trained mechanics.
Cons: Blinkers, fog-lights and odo recently stopped working but headlights and brake lights work (needs a new wiring harness). It does not have the interior heater unit installed and is missing some accessory switches. There are a few scratches on the right front fender from previous owner (allegedly brushed a hedge row) but they don't appear to be deep, paint is glossy otherwise.
Pros: Has a functional parking break, radio, high-beams, wipers. Shifts great, 4x4 works without issue. Tires have lots of tread. Power steering is tight (much tighter than any others I've driven, you won't be battling it to save your life). I've kept it insured and with taxes paid to date. Items Included: Doors with zip-up windows, leather bikini-top (not sun-dried or cracked), spare wheel mount with a spare identical wheel/tire set, rear seat and belts, rear trailer-hitch carrier for cargo, new in box BT single din receiver.
I'm too busy to enjoy it these days. Reasonable offers are welcome. Someone come drive it home!
