Description

1979 WagoneerHere is what I know, I bought this for my son to drive when he turns 16, my wife asked....“How many air bags does it have, anti lock brakes” with a grin of course.....So I have enough projects of myself and do not need another.I bought is about three months ago, drove it to work a few times, so yes it runs & drives.
360 AMC 4 barrelGM 400 auto transQuadratrac 4 WD
The body has its typical bumps, bruises to be expected for a 40 year old vehicle. Odometer reads 6655 but I would of course assume it’s 106655. Rockers are solid, doors fenders are solid, no holes in the floor pan, there are actually still red paint underneath in places. The rear quarters have some rust, see pics, however the wheel wells are solid. The gray mark on the hood was a weld from a bullet hole (wild Wyoming west) I guess.
Interior- seats have some wear and are a bit dirty, dash is perfect, carpet needs replaced, but how about that factory am/fm/ CB and the mic is still in the glove box! AMC under dash A/C. Dash lights work, the engine bay light still works when you open the hood. Door panels are not tore up, doors shut solid.Numerous items were replaced in the 2014 timeframe. New poly/ plastic fuel tank, fuel line, water pump, plugs, cap, wires, thermostat. All glass is good, no cracks, no fog. There is one piece of fender trim that has a dent, otherwise the rest is good. Rear window winds down. The A/C components are missing under the hood. Yes, it’s old, it drips some oil & trans fluid when it sits. Engine has a tick, pretty sure it’s a lifter, It may work itself out with more use, it has basically been sitting for 6 years without being driven. I bought it, put gas in it & drove it an hour home. With the exception of the lower rear quarters it’s a solid vehicle. Lower doors, door sill areas, engine inner fenders, rear gate, frame, pan, all super solid. I have not attempted to try the 4 WD so I cannot speak to if it works or not. If you have a question please feel free to ask, nothing to hide, just need it gone. If you are close by, please feel free to get with me and I will be more than happy to show it. Vehicle is for sale local so I will end auction if it sells local. Thanks
