1 family owned from new yes this is the ultra rare Limited Edition C.E. California Edition Golden Eagle offered in 1977 in California only. This exceptional original has been garage kept and was primarily used as a tow vehicle. Many of the 39,929 actual miles were tow miles. The exceptional original Levi’s interior is in this condition as the Jeep had an aftermarket hardtop on it and it was garage kept. The condition of the floors are among the best we have ever seen please view many detailed pictures with the original seats and carpet removed. Factory 304 V-8 that was re-sealed/gasketed years ago and painted the incorrect shade of blue. Full California emissions are still intact and in working order. California AMC emissions decal is still on the windshield. PS, PB, Disc brake option, Warn locking hubs, AM radio, tack, clock, T-150 3-speed transmission.

This is an original paint rust free California Jeep and is one of the rarest CJ’s ever built so rare that we have never seen a Limited Edition C.E. California Edition in person. The original soft top is long gone and we are not fans of the aftermarket hardtops therefore we installed a very rare NOS Heritage Tiger Top made in the correct Levi’s Tan we had Bestop make a special run of these with original correct Levi Tan Haartz denim. The doors are a much better fit than the original O.E. doors we have 15 of these complete tan CJ-5 Tiger Tops left,click here to see details. This is one of the finest original survivor CJ-5 Golden Eagles in existence and priced at less than half of what it would cost to duplicate one in restoration.
