Description

About this vehicleThis 1984 Jeep CJ7 is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great.Seller's Notes1978 engine, transmission, t-case and axels. 1984 rust free tub. ExteriorJeep is titled as a 1984. Vin is 1984. Title and vin match. But the entire drive train seems to be 1978 so expect 1978 spec. It’s a 304 v8 with a 3 speed. AMC 20 rear axle. Dana 35 front axel. Dash appears to be from an older model as well but the dash pad is new. It runs great and starts immediately every time. It has a noisy lifter on the #1 cylinder though. New Holley carburetor is tuned just right. New oil pan and dipstick tube. I’m pretty sure I’ve fixed all of the fluid leaks. It doesn’t smoke after the first 2 seconds. It has tons of torque. It drives comfortably down the freeway at 60 mph with about 25% throttle. The seats are in great condition. The floor is in the best condition I’ve ever seen in a CJ. That is just paint on the floor, not bed liner. The original ice blue paint can be seen in some places. The exterior paint is just okay; it looks really good while the Jeep is moving but when you really look at it, it needs a respray. The heater boxes are in great shape, I just installed them so no insects or mouse poo. The heater cables and switch are also new. The lights all work. The wipers work. The heater works. The horn doesn’t work. The washers don’t work. There are no rear seat belts. The speedometer doesn’t work. The fuel gauge doesn’t work. Steering column is missing a trim piece. The factory temp gauge doesn’t work. The auxiliary temp gauge and oil pressure gauges do work. Cruising oil pressure is around 40 psi. The front brakes are drums and don’t inspire a lot of confidence so I keep a healthy following distance on the freeway. The only rust I have found is in the windshield frame behind the passenger wiper, I cut it out and plugged the hole with JB welding to keep water from getting inside. Not proud of this action but it was practical. InteriorGreat seats and floors. EnginePowerful but ticking 304 V8. Created on the eBay Motors app
