Description

Over $50,000 spent of frame off restoration - likelybetterthan when it rolled off thefactory floor. Highly recommend seeing this is person so the level of detail can beappreciated and inspected before purchasing. Clean/Clear Minnesota title. This is my personalvehicle, I have been on eBay 16 years and have 100% positive feedback, so bid with confidence.

This Jeep was featured in the June/July 2001 4-Wheel Parts Off-Road Adventures magazine, and also in the 2001 book "JEEP" writen by Jim Allen.

The original "Tornado" 230 I6 engine, and 4-speed T-98 manual transmission were both rebuilt 25,000 miles ago. The axles are a Dana 60 for the front, and a Dana 70 for the rear. the pictures say it all on this one. No expense was spared to bring this Jeep to period correct, museum quality condition.

A word from the Strategic Air and Space Museum:

" Beginning in 1965, the M715 was designed and developed by the Kaiser Jeep Corperation. Originally developed to replace the existing M37 series of light trucks, the M715 would become one of the most important trucks in the U.S. inventory. Utilized throughout the armed services, the M715 would become an indelible image of the American experience in Vietnam, as well as later military conflicts. During its service life the M715 would serve as a troop transport, ambulance, cargo transport, and mobile maintenance platform.

Below is a video link from a visitor at the museum - note I added theperiod correct decals after purchasing thevehicle. Whilethis wereoriginally painted on, I usedvinyl should you choosetoremove them. This video was taken in 2012.

After leaving the museum the Jeep was put on consignment and sold by Worldwide Vintage Autosoutof Denver Colorado. Below is a video they put together fortheir sale - thisvideo was taken June 2015 - thevehicle has been driven under 100 miles since this video and is in the same condition with theaddition of the decals and correct bridge plate on the front grill. I absolutely love this truck and every time I have driven it I aminundated with complements and turned heads. I am selling this truck because I am 6-5 and I'm just too tall to fit into this reasonably. I can and do drive it, but its too cramped. I would say the max height of the buyer should be 6-2. I know one could not be duplicated for under my reserve price which is $5,000 below what i paid for it just thisspring.

On Aug-29-16 at 13:06:48 PDT, seller added the following information:

The transmission and engine wererebuilt at 25,000miles, not 25,000 miles ago. The truck currently has 25,900 miles and the frame off restoration was done just after turning 25,000 - so there is less than 1,000 miles on the restoration.
